let me put this in words so i can comprehend
the changing nature of a relationship
between a woman and a man:

if you start with friendship, you might end up in love
if you fall in love, you might find a friend to rescue you
if you find yourself deeply in lust, you're bound for sin
and i'm not much of gambler when hell's gonna win

let me expound in phrases unintelligible
the meaning of emotions in a relationship
no longer considered to be simple:

if you mix lust and sex, you're bound for a fun night
if you combine lust and love, you're headed for a hot affair
if you toss in a portion of friendship, commitment may be ahead
and fools will always rush in where angels fear to tread
