i carry your heart
This is a response to e.e. cummings's "i carry your heart." "Imzadi" is a Betazoid term of endearment from the "Star Trek" universe; thanks to the people who came up with a term to name a feeling. No copyright infringement is meant; I was just particularly inspired. This is intended as a continuation of the poem, using the last line of the original poem as its first.©9/1/1994
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
and i shall carry it tenderly(as a soul cradles
a heart)
and a mind is forever in harmony with another
but should i stumble, my heart will keep yours
forever in its memory(time is a history of moments
remember when
we kissed the first time(feeling what we'd known
could not be denied)any longer might've hurt worse
what we have is precious and i treasure, the jewel
of my humble existence (and exist do i without
you
no sun no stars no moon no rainbows nothing but
black sky
which is no existence at all( love is beautiful
and you my love are beautiful)world is nothing
without you<
and so i shall carry your heart
with all the love and tenderness i have to give
to the man i call my heart (imzadi) my love
