you move through waves of unbelief
and wade into shores of untruth
always believing that you could help
if only more people would accept for themselves
the faith you hold most dear
     trust is a strange thing at times
     subject to question and fear
     but still you lay your soul open
     and pray for strength and guidance
             (and i respect you for it)
you pay in vaults of frustration
when others hold you up to a higher standard
than they hold themselves
if only more people would understand
that you're just as human as they
