and the winds of change buffet you

till you feel like you're being pushed

into too many directions at once

and one wrong step will mean death to it all

this is one year you won't soon forget

the day you gave your heart and soul

seems like the moment that changed your life

or was it long before then

in any case, the walls keep coming

faster than you can break them down

somehow somewhen, there's a ray of hope

even though lately all it seems to do is snow

and you're slipping on the ice from all your yesterdays

today is still better than what you weathered before

you just have to believe your heart

when she tells you you'll make it through
