Untitled #4

by
Raine Wynd

I started writing this while I wrote The Wind's Child. I meant to include it as a song Danielle was singing, but it didn't fit what I needed it to, so I left it out. However, since I can't resist the urge to post, and since I still like it, here it is.

I'm walking the streets of New Orleans
And the rain is washing my pain clean
The scars will fade in time, I know
But now I don't know where to go
I got tired of fighting you
You just beat me black and blue

I'm as alone as I could be
Waiting for you to set me free
You had every opportunity
To play on every insecurity
I don't know anymore who I am
You made me into a cryptogram
