what you do
by Raine Wynd
i unlock my scarred soul (unlock it like a miser
for you to see the true me(careful still to conceal
the combination just in case) you
stand in awe as if what you see is beautiful
and touch me in places i'd forgotten i had
and i don't think i need a lock anymore
i open my healing heart (open it like a book
for you to read my story(its spine is worn and
the stains aren't all coffee) you
handle me as if what you see is precious
and write new pages of tenderness
and rebind my heart's tale with a new hope
